Job Description

The Public Area Cleaner maintains high cleaning standards of the Public Area within the hotel premises and ensure that all equipment is functional in line with the hotel’s policies and procedures.

What will I be doing? 

As the Public Area Cleaner, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Complete daily assignments
  • Check the entire public area in sequence
  • Ensure proper cleaning and vacuuming is carried out in all areas assigned
  • Report any damage of carpet or furniture to supervisors
  • Check that all equipment is functional, clean and properly stored after use
  • Ensure all restrooms are frequently kept to a hygienic standard
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the corresponding areas
  • Check the backstairs to assure that cleanliness is maintained
  • Ensure that the storeroom is clean, chemicals and tools are prepared well
  • Grooming, personal hygiene and appearance up to standard
  • Maintain good communication with team members
  • Deliver high quality service to guests
  • Adhere to hotel cleaning and maintenance programs, maintaining a clean work area
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Adhere by the hotel’s policies and procedures, security and emergency policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

 

  • Possess good communication skills
  • Physically fit and able to work long hours
  • Good knowledge of public area operations
  • Effectively understand and utilize resources
  • English literate to meet business needs an advantage
  • Good knowledge in using chemicals and cleaning machines
